About

The idea for the California Coastal Missing Persons Foundation (CCMPF) began in 2000 at a coffee house in Luna Bay, California. Four friends, who met weekly for coffee, were disturbed by the overwhelming number of missing persons posters decorating the bulletin board and front window of the establishment. What started out as a discussion between friends became an obsession.

Why do so many people go missing from Luna Bay?

But it’s not just Luna Bay. Along the California Coast there are several hot spots, several cities where disappearances occur at an alarming percentage.

The CCMPF was founded in 2002 as a way to make people aware of those who’ve gone missing. It’s our way to get the word out so these people are never forgotten. Our coast has become a home for predators. This must stop.
